Interactive Design

The Modern World

What is it? Interactive design is the relationship and interaction between 2 people and/or things, more specifically, apps and websites. As our society becomes more and more demanding, products need to be created that meet the needs of the user, helping them achieve their goals in the best possible way. As designers, we need to design products that support the general public in their everyday lives, we need to design products that will provide individuals with ease. Below are my three personal favourite interactive applications that allow me to complete day to day tasks with ease.

VSCO

VSCO is a creative channel whose motto is “Create, discover, connect”. They provide users with the creative tools needed to enhance their photographs with the press of a few buttons. VSCO believes strongly in their mission statement, expressing that their mission is to “help everybody fall in love with their own creativity”.

Uber

Uber is a service based application that enables users to get a ride with the touch of a button. Their mission is to provide users across the world with reliable rides within minutes at a reasonable budget. The application itself is easy and functional, which follows the company’s promise to ride with ease.

Twitter

Twitter is a social media platform that is accessible from both web and mobile. Twitter enables its users to keep up with what’s going on in the world and to see what others around them are doing in that moment. The social media network connects people across the globe through the touch of a few buttons.
